Portrait Photography & Scrap-Layout Design Art
This is an example of my portrait photography of a 3-year-old which I was later commissioned to design a scrap-layout featuring innovative materials. The frame was crocheted by myself from lightweight yarn and velvet ribbon and the embellishments were created from chipboard, hand-cut with an artists knife, inked and finished with a crackle-gloss medium for detail. The flowers were pieced together using silk petal shapes and pearl brad fasteners. The entire 12x12 design was finished off with a chalk inking technique and framed within a shadow-box frame.
