Challenge: Illustrate a song to promote its mood and theme. Solution: To illustrate “Help I’m Alive” by Metric, the background incorporates a photo which gives the impression of chaos and confinement. I created a realistic drawing of a hammer and a light bulb. Then, I outlined the images and used a graffiti typeface. The overall theme of desperation is achieved.
