The Whoot
The Whoot (“Who’s Out Tonight”) was a social app which allowed users to easily share their plans for the night. They had front end mobile developers but no back end support.\n\nI collaborated with one other developer on the creation of Ruby on Rails API’s for The Whoot iOS and Android apps. I created and styled the web interface for posting plans, which used the same API via AJAX.\n\nThe Whoot\'s app was built and launched successfully with over 2,000 users posting / day at launch time.
About Me
I have been doing full-stack Ruby on Rails development for about 5 years. Most of my experience has been working with startups, so I enjoy wearing many hats and getting involved in both front-end and back-end development. The common thread is that I seek a challenge from which I can learn. I like to think about the big picture, and help people on the business side find the little things they may have missed. In addition to coding, I can to contribute to UI / UX / API design.
