Nonlinear Finite Element analysis of corroded RC beams
A Finite Element model is developed in Abaqus software for structural assessment of corroded Reinforced Concrete (RC) beams. Finite Element model include modelling of cohesive surface between reinforcement and concrete material, inclusion of expansive stress around reinforcement concrete interface. A displacement control nonlinear analysis is performed and verified to obtain correct residual strength of corroded RC beams based on various level of reinforcement corrosion.
