Virtual performance conceptualised by Danish visual artist Jacob Tækker. The app is a balancing act, where a person is moving inside a room affected by gravity. If you turn your iPhone, the man drops to the floor - if you shake it, he falls again. But he will always get up, again and again. The balance is like in real life. You can twist and turn your Man In A Box as you please. The Man itself builds on the visual artist Jacob Tækker, as a digital edition of the artist himself. The room is minimal, with clear reference to an exhibition room - a 'whitecube' - pointing to the art space, where the artist and the man is attempting to move and navigate. Literally holding the artist in the palm of your hand. MY ROLE I built everything from the rigidbody system of Jacob, to the custom physics that was connected to the accelerometer of the device. It uses a very realistic physics engine. I found this project to be very rewarding.

Sobre Mim

With a solid background in Product Design, I have specialised as a freelance developer of the Unity3D platform. I am fluent in C# and JS as well as being proficient in most ( if not all ) aspects of cross-platform game development including game mechanics, UI, AI, state machines, pooling systems, and physics systems. My experience includes action games, RPGs and even flight simulators. Latest commercial titles include: - "Post Brutal", a mature post-apocalyptic RPG for iOS and Android. - "Ninja Guy", the cult action game that reached the top 15 in the Appstore. - "Flight Unlimited", a flight sim series for iOS. - "Man In A Box", a unique artist experience. I also excel in both commercial and in-house custom editor tools for Unity that offer unique productivity and optimisation features. Some of these are actually publicly available on the Unity Asset Store and have been well received by my peers, still holding a 5 star rating after many years.
