Melissa started her nursing profession in South Africa; she is certified in Critical Care Nursing. She was part of the Critical Care outreach team in South Africa, where they researched and implemented nursing actions in terms of patient health deterioration while preventing transfers back to higher levels of care like ICU(Intensive Care Unit) and CCU (Critical Care Unit) to prevent lawsuits. She has an eye for health status deterioration and prevention thereof. She is now Registered as a Nurse in Canada and passed her CRNBC (College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia) examination three years ago. She immigrated to Canada and worked at the Lions Gate Hospital on the North Shore of Vancouver. Since then she moved onto Telephone Triage Nursing and while establishing BC Legal Nurse Consulting Inc. Her experience and knowledge of nursing care are of the highest standards and she advocates quality healthcare where the patient comes first. She has more than 16 years experience in: ICU, CCU, ECCU, Trauma, Orthopedics, Neuro-Surgery, Post Operative Care, Medical, Cardiovascular, and Abdominal Surgery combined. Melissa is friendly and professional, she assists attorneys and members of the public with written nursing expert opinions, research,academic writing and proof reading of medical literature she is also able to transform medical records into chronologies and timelines.
