Civil Consultant Structural Engineer, M.Sc, Ph.D.

I'm a civil structural engineer, graduated in 2007 from Ain shams university and holding maters and Ph.D. in structural engineering from Cairo university. I have extensive experience in designing steel and concrete structures and bridges, in addition, I have experience in advanced non-linear analysis for complex elements and connections using ANSYS (concrete, steel, Prestressing, fiber reinforced concrete, UHPC, and FRP materials), besides the advanced analysis of soil structure interaction SSI using Midas GTS (piled raft foundation, earth retaining structures, and marine works). Having worked within consultant offices for about 15 years, I have developed a wide range of skills and experiences. In my present role as a lead structural engineer, I have had many achievements, including design of residential building, high rise building in high seismic zones, soil structure interaction (SSI) analysis, steel design and bridges, advanced analysis for strengthening works, in addition to design project manager position for India projects. One of projects I was leading its design, which located in India:

The project consists of many low-rise towers (up to 20 floors), many high-rise towers (up to 45 floors), and non-tower areas as a podium in-between the towers which consists of 2-3 basement floors. Towers in the project are connected with steel bridges at sky garden LVL (20th floor), floors consist of RC and PT slabs, and lateral loads resisting systems are shear walls and special frames. The project is located in high seismic zone and all structural elements consider the ductile details according to Indian standards

Effect of shear connectors and interface roughness on the behavior of one way composite pre slabs

The behavior of one way composite pre-slabs were studied. An experimental program was carried out to test nine simply supported slabs, one of them was reference monolithic slab and the remaining eight slabs were composite pre-slabs composed of two concrete layers. The composite preslabs were divided into three groups to investigate the effect of shear connectors length and ratio, and interface roughness on the behavior of pre-slabs. The objective of this paper is to develop a finite element analysis modeling capable to estimate the behavior of precast concrete sandwich panels (PCSP), such as ultimate and working loads of the panel, load-deflection relationship of the panel, axial force in shear connectors, and stresses at any point of the sandwich panel components, under out-of-plane bending effect. A nonlinear finite element analysis of PCSP was developed using ANSYS software and validated against published test data.
