Computer Ambience - Ambient Composition
Inspired by the sound design of Metroid: Fusion, my focus on this composition was to create a purely ambient soundscape that would fit a sci-fi landscape such as a starship or laboratory. The composition is primarily made of basic wavelengths, much of which is noise-based, and though the sounds are reminiscent of 2000s era pixel-art games, I drew inspiration from real-world computerised sounds such as the booting of a home computer and and warning sirens. This composition also utilises heavy left-right panning, some of which is subtle and some more obvious, to emulate the feeling of being physically present in this space.
About Me
Composer, sound designer, and audio editor looking to work with video game developers, programmers, and artists, podcast creators, and anybody in need of audio editing. As a composer and sound designer I specialise primarily in electronic music, however I’m competent in composing in other genres and always interested in expanding my horizons and experimenting with other styles and techniques. As an audio editor, I mix and edit all my own compositions in programs such as Logic and Audacity. My portfolio is available on my profile here with descriptions for each composition. I often return to older projects to apply new skills and improve upon them, so please check back regularly for updates.
