I’m passionate about using data to make sense of the world. Too often do I hear professional discussions where opinions trump facts, when really the data could be made available with just a touch of creativity and programming knowledge. But good data science needs to go beyond math and statistics by using a combination of data and theory to understand the social and political dimensions of a problem. I’m motivated to help clients make sense of complex data by going beyond data collection, analysis, and visualization. My experience in social science research, data analytics and visualization, technical writing, and project management means that I can help to form both the question and the appropriate solution for a wide variety of problems.
