Great Room for Gaurav and Akanksha, Simi Valley, California
Gaurav and Akanksha wanted to redesign their Living space. They wanted to convert the dining area into a reading nook. We worked with their existing leather sofa set. the fireplace was off center and looked odd. The wall treatment gives the fireplace a more balanced look. Four shades of paint has been used to give an interesting look. The entry foyer has also been given a new look, with a fresh painting, The brass bench serves as a place to take off shoes.The bench and mirror, along with the painting makes a very inviting entry foyer. The reading nook has cozy and romantic seating for two. Two bookshelves flank a mirror on the opposing wall. The colours chosen were achromatic shades of grey along with some neutral shades for textiles, with a rich deep red as the accent colour.
