What is clipping? Creating a vector path, however, is not sufficient for filigree objects, such as hair (clipping people), products with fur or fringes, and animals with long fur. The details of the image are too tenuous to be captured properly. The editor has to work on a more detailed clipping of the object and its surroundings, while the edges of the object require a fluent passage. In order to clip hair or fur, the editor uses masking on alpha channel level to capture even the subtlest details. Read more about this in the chapter masking.
