Here I had opportunity to work in various Departments of the Company such as Planning & Coordination, Production, Quality Control and Dispatches besides being trained in for Costing, Pricing and Finance. Also,I had the opportunity to work with the real artisans at the grass-root level and understand the Art and its potential. I was ,thus, trained here in Handloom Textile Export Enterprise and its reach in the Modern Day lifestyle the Worldover. Once again I had the similar opportunity but this time it was State of Gujrat and its villages. Here Carpets were produced under one roof therefore various responsibilities with regard to a Factory Administration were involved besides quality production and Export. On account of Carpets finding a low priority in the Company I was shifted to Courier Division of the Company operating in collaboration with United Parcels Services of U.S.A. It was a new assignment but I enjoyed it too and grew companies’ business manifold, Carpet remained the secondary responsibility. In the month of Oct. 1990 got an opportunity to work with MONTARI IND. LTD, Delhi, as Asstt. Manager, Home Furnishing (Production). This was a Ranbaxy Group Company and was Exporting Home Textiles. My job was to Produce & Procure Home Textiles, Carpets and Rugs,MadeUps as per specifications of the Foreign Buyers. Quality Control, Packing, Dispatch were part and parcel of my duties. Since, I had to strictly implement parameters set by the Buyer,’was working hand in hand with Manufacturers, Suppliers, Dyers, Printers and other Processors on one hand and the Buyers on the other. In the course of my activity, I had to keep the Buyers abroad, informed of the status of their orders and was constantly interacting with them on New Development of samples, pricing etc. On the other hand I was, relentlessly, involved with various factories, Cooperatives producing our goods and was always giving them leadership/Direction.
