Name: GSM Physical layer simulation. This environment is created to test various wireless applications at lab level. This is a real time test environment for any multimedia application. One PC is simulated as a mobile station while other acted as a BTS sever. Although the PC were communicating through UDP/IP link but a two way Raleigh channel is incorporated with various other GSM physical layer blocks (RPE-LTP speech compression, convolution codec, GMSK modem block interleaving and rate matching block). I have used the Winsock 2.1 library to create this multithreaded client-server environment and tested it thoroughly for multiple clients. UDP transport protocol was used to avoid the delay because of reliability in TCP. Here in voice communication link the requirement was to lower down the delay as much as possible even if there is any quality loss or packet drop because of unreliability. 2. Name: Camera Capture Application Team Size: - 5 Duration: 5 Months. Tools Used: DSHOW Framework,WinCE 5.0, Camera Driver, C++, VC++, COM Description: We developed a camera capture application on Direct Show framework using platform builder of WinCE 5.0 operating system. I had contributed in all phases of product development life cycle (HLD, LLD, coding, unit testing, release). This application supports various modes of camera capture through a graphical GUI display. It works in three modes, the viewfinder mode, the video mode and image mode. We can change the capture image size from QCIF to 2MP in JPEG format. We can change the brightness, contrast, frame rate, sharpness and other features in run time during video recording. The default settings are used based on registering file for QVGA display. Any third party video encoder can be integrated easily with this application because it follows the COM Plug-in standards of Windows environment. 3. Name: - Media Player Application Team Size: 6 Duration: 5 Months. Tools Used: DSHOW frame work, WinCE 5.0, Camera Driver, LCD Driver, COM, C/C++ Description: A complete media player application is developed by using DSHOW components and filters. It supports QCIF/VGA display for .avi, .asf, .wmv, 3gp video files. We integrated different video codecs (MPEG1, MPEG4, H263) and audio codecs (AAC, AMR, MP3), and audio-video renderers. We have used most of the Microsoft components like parsers and MS renderers. Only the codec parts are taken from third party renderers.
