Campbell-Hausfeld Service Bulletin
Here is an example of a technical bulletin I created while handling our warranties and returns at Campbell-Hausfeld. This is a bulletin provided on our sites and sent directly to our service centers and technicians for requesting information or to issue alerts. This document and process had fallen by the wayside when I joined CH and I restarted the use of such documents to communicate more clearly and effectively with our service centers to help drive toward quick and effective solutions for our products. Please note that the outdated template for the design was not of my design or choice, only the contents of the bulletin were my creation.
About Me
Hello, I am an engineer by training, a writer at heart, and a hard worker to make it all possible. I am looking to create and grow my freelance portfolio as a way to further challenge myself and bring in additional income. I have excelled in my schooling and career in engineering by being a highly effective communicator, especially when in comes to more densely technical content. In technical fields it is very useful to take complex ideas, understand them, and be able to communicate them effectively and in an accessible manner. My ability to communicate such information and to intimately understand it to become an authority on it has led me to be tapped for many such projects. I have authored hundreds of manufacturing work instructions, quality assurance controls, safety training guides and much more for the highly regulated aerospace industry and I have helped write product descriptions and information sheets for air compressors sold at both a retail and commercial level. I am heavily experienced in 3D modeling (primarily through Solidworks), all of the Microsoft Office suite (and their Google counterparts) and project management. My most effective trait is my ability to rapidly align with a project's goals, identify the deliverables of the project, and execute the path to achieve them. In my tenure working as an engineer or in related fields for almost 10 years I have worked on agricultural machinery, air compressors, aerospace components, innovative medical devices, ergonomic equipment, and more. I have held a paying job since the age of 14 (through all of my higher schooling) and this has helped instill in me a deep-seated dedication and work ethic. These traits and the skills listed above have combined to make me a highly effective worker. I also have significant experience with innovation as it is a key facet of new product design and implementation. I have worked to launch and develop new products and solutions in all of the technical fields listed above. This has resulted in highly successful products and even several provisional (for now) patents in the medical device and pneumatic product industries. Due to the proprietary nature of the technical work instructions and engineering drawings I have created over my career I am unable to share them in the portfolio section. However; I am more than happy to discuss some of my projects and created documents in depth if you are so inclined. I can provide descriptive examples and answer any questions you may have. I hope to add to my shared portfolio as I take on work here and elsewhere that is published.
