Bateleur Tools is a tool kit custom designed to enable the client (Bateleur Brand Planing), to process batches of scalable data faster and more accurately . The current tools present are; 1. Engagement calculator - This tool reads a data set of user specified location and performs a calculation based on this input which it then writes the result back to the same input file as output also in a user input location. The need for the user input is due to the ever changing nature of the input data files structure and data location within the files themselves. This tool has built in error checking in the form of prompts if: no input file is selected, fields are left empty, fields are of the incorrect data type as well as a pop up dialog to confirm input one last time before executing the calculator in order for the user to double check their input. This exact error checking is common across the tool kit. 2. Data Stacking - This tool reads data from a file from a user specified location,
About Me
I am a freelance Software and Web developer who is breaking back into the field after a long time having been spent as a Tourist guide in the Kruger National Park in South Africa. I have always been interested in tech and the tech industry and am making a comeback into the field due to the knock on effects of COVID and its shutdown of the tourism industry. Currently I am proficient in Java, HTML, CSS and JavaScript whilst as much as I can am trying to learn as much as I can.
