The department’s sales more than doubled in 2001 and were up 300% in 2002. Analyzing and improving the success rate of circulation direct marketing pieces – geared toward increasing circulation. Improved the typical success rate of an average direct marketing response by over 100%. Submersing into Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) rules, which regulate the sale of newspapers, to become one of the “go-to” people for ABC rules. Coordinating large inter-departmental projects and overseeing all aspects – execution and evaluation – of the projects. (i.e Coupon Book, Advertising Sales, Saturation Marketing). Developing customer loyalty and retention programs and attempting to find solutions for non-pay customers and reducing customer “churn.” Consumer Retail Industry: Developing and implementing the company’s first forecasting model, monitoring the results and success achieved from the model, and designing changes to improve accuracy. Using forecasting tools (i.e. regression analysis) to strategize inventory needs for warehouse (JIT) needs as well as recognizing market and selling trends. Analyzing historical and current sales figures, using cross-tab statistical analysis to create business reports to aid inventory management, product line decisions, and provide recommendations to management. Rewarded as a member of the company’s “2000 All Star Team” – The company chooses about 5 people to be recognized as employees of the year. Winning Target’s “Vendor of the Year Award” in the second quarter of 2000. This was due to successfully managing the inventory flow to Target stores. Managing inventory flow for 8 national chain stores: Kmart, Target, JC Penney, Ames, Service Merchandise, Montgomery Ward, Sears, and Mervyns.
