This robot was constructed with the aim of solving this predicament. The robot was designed to gather the required information and transmit it through a wireless medium to the base station which could be anywhere on Earth. GSM technology was utilised for the transmission and reception purpose. The robot and the base station were equipped with the following major components: · DC motors (for movement) · IR sensors (for manoeuvring) · Microcontroller (for the intelligence) · Temperature Sensor · Humidity Sensor · GSM modems (for transmission and reception) · LCD display (at the receiving end to display the data received) The microcontroller was programmed such that the robot would move on a pre-determined path and if faced with an obstacle (detected by the IR sensors), it would move around the obstacle and continue on its path. All along, the microcontroller would continuously read the data from the sensors through an analogue-to-digital converter and convert this data into a text format suitable for GSM transmission. Further, using AT commands, the microcontroller would instruct the GSM modem to send the data to the recipient whose \'Identification number\' would be pre-fed in its memory. Thus, the data can be sent to any location on earth provided that the area is under GSM network coverage. There was a provision for the installation of six other sensors but due to pecuniary constraints, installation of further sensors was aborted. **ACHIEVEMENTS** **MANAGEMENT AND ORGANISING** · Assistant Editor of the College Magazine for two years · Co-ordinator of \'Telecom Exhibition\' in college · Member of the Sports\' Council in college · Officiated as an Umpire in a State level Table Tennis Tournament **COMPETITIONS AND EXAMINATIONS** § 1st place in Inter-college \'Science Fiction\' competition § 1st place in Inter-college \'LAN Gaming\' competition § 1st place in Inter-college \'Vocabulary Competition\' § Secured a Maharashtra State rank of 24 in the \'4th National Cyber Olympiad\' **WORK EXPERIENCE** Currently gaining experience at Kabir Infotech Ltd., Bhandup (West), Mumbai as a **Network Engineer** The following are the responsibilities: · To carry out surveys prior to the commencement of the project work so as to estimate the quantity of materials, devices, equipments and man-power required · &am ## Area of Expertise NA
