La Route des Jeunes was a youth NGO working on road safety. Created by and for the youth (15-25 years-old), it aimed at promoting responsible driving in the youth population, who is the main victim of car accidents involving alcohol. In 2006, we fought against a beer company willing to promote "safe driving" in driving schools to promote its new alcohol-free beer. As the spokesperson, I wrote a press release calling to the government to put their foot down and stop the project. In 2 days, I have been interviewed by 5 national radio stations, 2 national newspapers and 1 TV channel for the news section (France2). Within 2 days, the project had been publicly condemned and forbidden by the government.
