Sample VBscript
This is a sample VBscript I wrote that imports data from a well-formatted excel file onto a SQL database. The scripts also keeps track of certain statistics about the data and emails the application administrator the statistics after the job is completed. A unique Job ID is generated every time the script accepts data, and the script writes certain job details onto the application log. In addition, the script writes onto the Windows event logs should it fail to complete processing the data. Note: I placed a ".txt" file extension so you can open the file as a text file. Also, I changed some information that belongs to the organization such as server names, database names, and application name.
