ABOUT TENSTAR MEDIA Tenstar Media is an Idaho limited liability corporation founded in July 2010. In addition to providing writing and editing services, Tenstar Media will publish books under four planned imprints. ABOUT W. LANE STARTIN My writing career began in the mid 1990s at the student newspaper at Idaho State University. During my final year at ISU I owned, managed and edited an independent campus newspaper. In addition to the print edition in 1995 I created one of the very first online newspapers - college or otherwise - based in Idaho. A few years later in Philadelphia I worked as an acquisitions editor for a small publishing firm. While I worked in both fiction and non-fiction disciplines, I considered biography and reference my areas of expertise. This culminated in the publication of Jessi Winchester's "From Bordello to Ballot Box" in which I received cover editorial credit. More recently I have worked in various aspects of the credit card and insurance fields, lending "real world" experience to my previous writing experience. I was licensed as an insurance producer in Idaho and Nevada, as well as held the FINRA 6/63 licenses. All licenses have since lapsed. I'm also a bit of a reference geek, as evidenced by the fact as of January 2010 I've edited the English Wikipedia over 4,000 times.
