Poster for Jammin' Java - 11.29.12
This item was commissioned for local music venue Jammin' Java, which has begun hosting comedy nights. The client's only specifications were to display each comedian's name and to specify where and when tickets could be purchased. Other than that, and like most of my poster clients, I was given free reign with the design. They were extremely happy with this poster design and it alone has generated many new clients for me.

Hi, I'm Maggie. I'm an independent freelance designer from the Washington, D.C. area. I began my career in graphic design creating posters and album artwork for musicians in the local music scene. No two posters are alike, and I enjoy the freedom of creating something unique with every project. With my previous experience as a social media consultant to several companies and business, I combined my two passions one all encompassing vision for clients: social design. Social design goes beyond choosing a new Facebook cover photo and setting your company's logo as the default picture. I can design Facebook, Twitter and other social media pages to match existing company branding or I can start from scratch to design something new and exciting. Working together, we'll incorporate applications and custom tabs that give your users the overall best experience and most useful information while visiting your pages. We'll establish "social media guidelines" for engaging and interacting with customers through these platforms to ensure continuity of message and professionalism in communication. With all of these tools in place, it is very realistic that a client could maintain their social media presence without my continued support. However, given the ever changing nature of social media and the semi-regular redesigning these websites go through, most of my clients do chose to retain me for future revisions.
