Poster for Jammin' Java - 8.3.12
This poster was commissioned by local band irresponsible for their upcoming show at the music venue Jammin' Java. The band also requested that the poster make some mention of it being the lead singer's birthday. While difficult to see on this particular website, the large 11x17 print version clearly shows the balloon string is actually a sentence that reads "and a very happy birthday to [lead singer's name]". The band was extremely pleased with this subtle detail and the overall look of the poster. I must say that, to date, this is my most popular poster.

Hi, I'm Maggie. I'm an independent freelance designer from the Washington, D.C. area. I began my career in graphic design creating posters and album artwork for musicians in the local music scene. Working together, we'll incorporate applications and custom tabs that give your users the overall best experience and most useful information while visiting your pages. We'll establish "social media guidelines" for engaging and interacting with customers through these platforms to ensure continuity of message and professionalism in communication. With all of these tools in place, it is very realistic that a client could maintain their social media presence without my continued support. However, given the ever changing nature of social media and the semi-regular redesigning these websites go through, most of my clients do chose to retain me for future revisions.
