Jim Alers, MMA Fighter - Highlight Reel
Jim is a grappler and a boxer. Although he excelled as a wrestler in high school Jim chose to go a different route after graduation and moved to Orlando to attend the University of Central Florida to major in Elementary Education. While living in Orlando, Jim quickly sought out the feeling of competition that he had grown to love in high school. He soon started Brazilian Jiujitsu at Gracie Barra Orlando. Jim knew he belonged on the mats and began training with the MMA team. Jim has been training since late 2005 and has been in the gym almost every day since. Jim trains hard and balances his days with training and school. He has his eyes set on making it to the big shows and getting a championship belt around his waist.
