Jamii Power (Swahili for \"community\" power) is in the business of laying the groundwork for providing sustainable and affordable 230V AC electricity to rural communities throughout Africa, through isolated smart mini-grid systems that are powered by decentralized renewable energy sources such as solar, biomass, wind and hydro. We are a micro-utility/Electricity Supply Company that enables isolated rural communities to generate, distribute and consume their own power locally using locally available renewable resources, without the need to transmit power from the main national grids.
