SELL MY BOOK WITH THE COVER. Bonus May be Given to winning design!

Attached is a sample of the book. I encourage YOU to read it to get inspiration for cover. I have also attache a short bio.

COLOUR: I have no preferences of color and I will evaluate both proposals with light colors and with dark ones.

IMAGE: I have attached my current cover that I like, and the photo that can be used by you to design the cover. If you do not believe the photo is good enough I can supply others. I want to do motivational speaking, so the photo adds value on the cover.

FONT: The fonts used must be clear and legible. Also the title must be easy to read even when the cover is displayed in a reduced size, as it happens on Amazon or on other ebooks selling web sites.

IMPORTANT: Mandatory items on the front: the author's name : "Courtney R. Logan", the title :"Shaped by Fire" and the subtitle : "My Escape from Poverty's Pit" (please copy these words just as I write them here without quotations)
On the spine : author's name and title
On the back: about 12/15 lines of text for the synopsis of the novel (the exact text to be inserted is not yet defined, put any text just to set the graphic)

I would like to see some covers WITHOUT any Fire if possible. Unless, it is subtle and adds value to the cover. Don't do it just because the title has "fire" in it. The fire in my life represents the hardships I had to overcome to be the man I am today.

as a general rule, book covers are more abstract and almost never include full-color photographs; it is best to grey them, even if only a little. using limited pallet also helps.

I would like to see some creative ideas that are not so literal. The heart of my story deals with me making out of the ghetto and going on to be a 3 time national debate champion, National Moot Court Champion in law school, and a success practicing attorney. It is aimed at those kids who are still stuck in the nightmare that I lived.
