Hello,

THE BUSINESS I AM IN: I am a Resume and Cover Letter Writer. I would like someone to design a Logo. My business name is: ResumeIsMyGame. I would like green and blue so that it is fresh on the eye and appealing.

MEDIA: I will use the logo to make a car magnet, business cards, letterhead, laptop skin,iphone 4s case, lawn sign, advertisements, etc. I need to get visuals on all of these types of media.

YOUR PORTFOLIO: If you win this contest, I will have all the rights to the design and you cannot use it in your portfolio unless you have a full disclosure that you are the winning artist and was given permission to use it in your portfolio. This is if you win the contest, not just for your entries or renderings.

POSSIBLE FUTURE PROJECT: I also need someone to design a ResumeIsMyGame website eventually so please indicate if you are also a web designer and we will talk offline on a separate project. Please PM me for a quote for an up and running website, including design, paypal or other payment capabilities, etc.

ARTWORK: I suggest that Resume is green, Is is Blue, My is Green and Game is Blue. My tagline is "Focus on your Objective". The artist has discretion on what words need to be emphasized in the tagline. Please consider the over all message.

I have communicated with my website designer and developer and he is requesting for the winner and runner up of the logo to make sure that the files will be in .psd, .png or .ai format. It has to be a vector logo so it can be resized to any size (this will be important not only for the website, but also for the printings you will need to do. Thanks!

Once I have all the votes in, I will be choosing from the top ones to break ties.

I have consulted with my sister who is a Global Marketing professional and have gotten some input on my logo and branding. I also have consulted with my father who has a Phd in Business and my other sister who has an MBA. They all have their own choices and reasons.

It will be a difficult decision for me since I like all of these designs and would be good for all of the MEDIA that I will be using.

This will be my last clarification about Portfolios.

Once I pick the winning entry, I just want an acknowledgement in your portfolio that: You were the winning designer for the Logo Contest of Bernadette Magno-Popa for ResumeIsMyGame, a resume and cover letter writing service based in California, USA. This is a deterrent for people just stealing this design in which the rights will be transferred to me.

I am not dictating on what goes on the designer's portolio.

It's just like the swoosh creator for Nike, Carolyn Davidson. She was paid $35 for her logo as a student in Portland State. She signed over all her rights for the artwork but eventually Nike gave her $643,000 in stocks since part of Nike's success is brand recognition is the Swoosh design by Carolyn Davidson.

  You are one fine lady!! I was rejected, I don't care, I look at it as practice. What I do mind (and I'm not talking about this contest) is seeing people beat out an original work with stolen graphics (some of them even copyrighted). So...I have given up.

I helped design for Disney apparel before and so I really love originality and how the artist thinks about what I do and the business I am in. I used to work with a department of graphic artists and love collaboration. I have a fashion background and now, I am even thinking of making a T-shirt with either silkscreening or embroidery on my chosen design.

Just be original and let your ideas flow. I am available for any questions. Speaking of originality, please do not use the target design on the word Objective since that was already an entry by jeffkhan.
