For a game soundtrack we need the gospel song "Joshua fit the battle of Jericho" in an instrumental version. It will be used in a computer game as background music. The style is free, you can make it sound Mahalia Jackson style, folk, blues, rock or even like the Hugh Laurie version. This is up to your creativity. The only restriction is that the main melody must be played with a trumpet.
We will need the track edited in 4 versions:
1) Full song, mixed that it sounds good when looped (intro is ok, but no fade out at the end).
2) Only the background rhythm without any harmony (loopable)
3) The complete background rhythm with harmony (loopable)
4) The background rhythm with harmony just for the part "Joshua fit the battle of Jericho, Jericho, Jericho. Joshua fit the battle of Jericho, and the walls cam tumblin' down," (loopable)
Beside that we need the lead trumpet isolated as single notes, evey pitch with 3 different durations, for the whole range of the song.

Hi, i still don't get about "3 different duration". What's that means?
And are we allowed to submit multiple version or song or no?

Ok, Freelanceer.com still hasn't solved the problem, and it seems that you can't send me a direct message. Please feel free to drop me a message on Skype (ueli.sonderegger) to send me the link to your file.

    Hi -
pls write us what file-format you need? /wav-mp3-ogg-wma-or??/ (it`s important, because mp3 needs special processing to get no-gap loop-play...I can provide it if needed, but I need 2know)

Hi Ueli... it`s /for me/ no problem to prepare perfect looping mp3 /I have special designed software to process mp3 - problem with no-processed mp3 is that gap comes by looping when mp3 starts play 2nd time and at start are commands to restart codecs - this causes small gap in play, untill is processed with this soft we use..)

If we can have the files both in compressed and uncompressed format even better. We use Unity for game development, and looping compressed sounds is a challenge because of that cap.

Regarding the trumpet-requirement: It can be a horn, trombone or similar as well.
