Good day, we are looking for someone who can code and design a website where many people can simulatenously work on writing books. Each new book or project is to be divided into chapters which will serve as project phases. A backend admin should be able to open/close new phases for collaboration, while users should have the capability of writing, suggesting edits, comment / chat on ideas, etc.
The word processing module itself is open source, so we are basically looking for someone who can adapt this functionality into a coherent platform. Additional details will be shared with the selected candidate.
Writing collaboration
The main idea behind the site is to have people collaborate on writing projects.
The core concept is simple:
Users are divided into the following groups:
Admin: responsible for opening/closing phases, selecting winners and coordinating projects.
Contributors: responsible for submitting content and editing material.
Voters: responsible for reading the submitted work, voting for their favorite submissions and suggesting edits / modifications for improvement.
Spectators: people visiting the site only.
A project (book, story, essay, etc.) is divided into different phases and phases are divided into different stages. Each phase and stage has fixed start and finish dates.
Each phase is divided in the following stages:
Concept drafting: contributors submit raw, unpolished ideas
Concept voting: contributors and voters vote and suggest edits for their favorite concepts.
Concept tuning: contributors fine tune their concepts based on feedback from the previous stage.
Concept final voting: contributors and voters vote for their favorite final concepts.
The admin chooses the final content for each phase and the cycle starts again until all phases are completed.
At the end of each project, the admin can download the final versions of each phase and put together a finished product.
Income model
Access to website is free of charge, spectators can read the current phase submissions and additional content approved by the admin.
In order to vote, visitors need to register basic information (name, email, gender, age, country of origin), also free of charge.
In order to contribute, members need to pay a project fee through the website.
At the end of the project, income from fees will be used for publishing and marketing the book and the earnings will be distributed amongst those contributors whose submitted content ended up in the final product & contributors with high xp levels (more on this later).
Fees are collected on a project basis, there is no limit to how many projects a single user can participate on. In contrast, a paying member for one project may not participate for free on the next (but they get to keep their xp and level for future projects).
Website features
A backend admin should be able to control and coordinate an entire project via special controls. This control includes:
Phase / stage opening and closing.
Final product selection.
Activate / deactivate permissions for reading / accessing material (for each of the user groups)
Ban / censor users.
Manage fee collections, price increases / reductions (for discounts, promotions, etc).

Your account: edit contact information, avatar, bio, etc.
Active projects: projects currently involved in, active phases, etc.
Active rewards: previous successful projects w/reward tracking (to be updated by admin)
Submitted work / voting status
News/notifications: admin will post information such as status, proyect profits, etc. Other users can send messages / chat.
All writing, editing and voting should be done within the site, we should not use attachments, email or otherwise to consolidate and display submitted works.
Contributors need to be earning xp points in a manner very similar to freelancer.com, some for completing their profile, for submitting their first piece of content, for acquiring votes on their submitted content, for sharing the site with their friends via social networks and for when their recommendations subscribe.

Open source text to html preferred in order to avoid coding time and maintenance
A working prototype should be presented for the first milestone where an initial payment will be made and the remaining will be set on escrow. Upon the submission of the final product the remaining payment will be released.
