I am an experienced (15-plus years) business and IT writer, editor, trainer, and Instructional Designer, with a solid track record of creating manuals, press releases, brochures, articles, white papers, and training materials for a number of businesses, as a contractor and as an employee.
I have e-commerce experience writing online SEO-rich sales copy, and I currently write and edit a bimonthly newsletter for a web merchant. Additionally, I have extensive experience acting as a business analyst, conducting gap analyses, needs assessments, and cost-benefit analyses, preparing reports and presentations for senior staff.
I am comfortable working to deadlines, and am trained in writing within AP Style guidelines. I co-developed an internal style guide during my tenure with Citibank, have written style guides for two other employers, and can readily adapt to any style of writing and presentation. I am familiar with the product development cycle, and have extensive experience with being part of development teams for product releases.
I am a long-time user of Microsoft's Office suite, and have experience with Adobe's creative suite, particularly with Acrobat and Photoshop. I also have experience with Articulate, SnagIT, Robohelp and Illustrator. I also spent over five years in inbound and outbound call-center roles and have extensive experience documenting call-center and IT support procedures.
