Hello First you need the app to search for the Bluetooth devices and be able to pair with it . Then send the codes . I develop Android & microcontroller software and I have this HC-05 module . I actually have an app I coded that sends more complex data than what you describe to hc-05 . If what you send will always be in English language , you can add the Voice feature , so you only say 1 dot "the message" -> this gets sent as the First line for the matrix , or 1. clear -> the line is cleared . but I'm not sure how are you managing the Code from the HC-05 to the matrix , if the hex code you're describing is doing/helping in that .. then it's OK .. I get it . Regards
