Hey there!
We are looking for an experienced 2D animator to produce FIVE 8 minute episodes for a new animation series.
This animation series is comedic, and is about 4 evolved animals who get up to great mischief in an all-animal kingdom. It's all animal because the world is built on the idea that HUMANS never got the chance to exist or evolve. But animals did.
Think Zootopia, but not really. It's more along the lines of South Park in its craziness, but just a unique blend of animal characters.
Here are more details:
1) There are 4 main animal characters - a grump panda, a kimono / samurai carp who is able to stand, a fluffy adorable sheep, and geeky Tiger. The characters are not overly detailed - think in terms of Power Puff Girls or South Park amount of details.
2) Animation to be in 2D side-perspective.
3) There will be additional characters to animate, approx. 5-8. However, these can be more simplistic compared to the main cast.
4) Important note: We will provide you with ALL the background and character designs. These will be done by another cartoonist. So, what you will have to do is replicate their look (no need to design from scratch) and animate them. :) We can give you the high res files, especially for the background.
5) We will also provide you with a FULL voice-over script that's fully completed, so you won't have to do audio too. Yay!
6) And, we will be able to provide you with a FULL and very detailed storyboard that will help make the art direction / sequences very clear to understand. This will also help to save a lot of time on your end.
7) In short, the job requires pure 2D animation, without all the other time-consuming stuff added in, cause we'll already do the work in those areas.
8) In your fee, please include the full release of commercial rights to use for our own usage. You are welcomed to use portions of the animation for your own production reel though.

Your animation studio / name will be prominently displayed in the credits and linked to.
I work as a professional social media specialist, so I will be able to get lots of eyes on your creation. Hopefully, this will lead to greater exposure.

Not too interested in animators who primarily work on Explainer videos. We are looking for more of a cartoon animator in the traditional sense of a series.
This is a middle to longer-term project, so we are looking to develop a good working relationship with you as an animator. You're welcomed to suggest your own creative ideas as well if you'd like.
