We are an Australian manufacturer and developer of IOT systems, specifically within the Keyless Entry System space. We require a hardware/firmware engineer to create a universal keyless entry system based on an existing product we are aiming to replace.

Successful applicant will work closely with our existiong API and Web Interface developers to create a universal, secure keyless entry system which can be integrated into a number of different existing security products such as locks, Lift Relay Modules and Access Control Readers.

This role will involve both hardware and firmware development. We expect as much as possible, existing Arduino development boards to be utilised before deriving custom PCB in Autodesk Eagle or similar. Applicants must have experience developing IoT with Arduino, ESP32 and preferably low power RF (966mhz) or similar communication technology. It is likely this project will involve the development of 2 boards (with firmware) :

1x "Gateway" which is a wired device running on 2.4ghz wifi and POE Ethernet which communicates with an API server. The Gateway also features a 966mhz transceiver for communication to...

1x Low power Sub 1Ghz (eg 966mhz) battery-operated universal locking system featuring a relay, internal memory for logging access, option for privacy latch (switch) and RS485 communication protocol for outputting all lock, unlock, door open, door closed etc commands to 3rd party devices. All of these events should also be logged back to the aforementioned gateway via 966mhz and subsequently server.

Upon shortlisting applicants, we will demonstrate exactly what we are aiming to achieve. We can also provide samples of the aforementioned hardware as supplied to us by our previous manufacturers. Essentially we are looking at replacing the product supplied to us with our own custom, more streamlined (and reliable) hardware.
