OVERVIEW
Goal is to develop a global sensor network to aid in conservation efforts.
Each sensor node needs to be operational in a robust, adaptive, fault-tolerant system. Provide coverage in protected areas that are well over 10,000 sq kms in size and in many situations without any cellular coverage.
PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS
Each station (node) will require the following:
Compact, powerful and inexpensive singleboard computer (eg: Raspberry Pi/Arduino)
Acoustic differential pressure transducer (long range detection)
Array of 3 high-sensitivity microphones (short-medium range detection and triangulation)
GPS module (location and timing)
Software for analysis, identification and triangulation of signals on-device
Bidirectional, low-power, long-range communication (LoRaWan/Sigfox/ELTRES/Satellite)
Power source (solar panel and battery)
Optional - long range drone and charging base
DEPLOYMENT
The sensor network is intended to complement alternative sensors and to be integrated into monitoring platforms such as EarthRanger, while being capable of mapping event logs to satellite imagery.
Need experienced, super-talented, creative developer to help bring this solution to market - strong preference for UK-based.
