The two first stay in a motel on the east side of Houston, Texas that the girl friend had rented after she ran away.? Your piece of the story starts when the two return back to Houston from an Amtrak trip to New Orleans. Having had phone contact with her violent brother she realizes that they must find a place to stay more permanent than a motel room. They look over places in Houston and then the boyfriend decides it would be better to live in a small town outside of Houston near Beaumont Texas in the (fictional) town of Culper, Texas just a ten minute drive southwest of? Beaumont. They find a couple in Culper with a guest house for rent that welcomes cash and makes no attempt to check out their background.? The couple actually appears to love the young girl. They think she is 18 years old with Hispanic heritage because of her olive complexion and her poorly dyed blond hair.? The girl has temporarily taken on the name of Sheena, while she and her boyfriend look for a place to rent. She (Sheena) stole a few thousand dollars from her father when she initially ran away so she and her boyfriend have cash plus Jason’s dad provides a couple thousand each month for his son to live on. The story should talk about how badly they want their first Christmas together to be a perfect Christmas. They both are very much into doing whatever is needed to insure each other’s Christmas dreams are fulfilled Sheena who is really from Afghanistan really loves Jason and in her country of birth she would be getting stoned for what she doing. Her mother is dead and her father and brother dislike her and would like her dead.? She feels totally alone and she is also very confused over her religion and the fact that she loves Jason a young man who confessed to the fact that he really believes in no religion. She loves America but is still often shocked by how different her life is here and how it was under the Taliban. She often thinks of these things as she watches TV, buys clothes, listens to music. (She loves country music). The story takes place in 2010 so songs from that time frame can be mentioned. The story must be told only from her recollection of her life with Jason for that one month period of time.? He is dead when she is telling this story of how they lived during that period of time.? Remember that during this? month would have been Thanksgiving. And of course since she does not know he is going to be dead she can also be planning for New Year and when he goes back to school.
