I am seeking a specialist to develop an Excel macro that expedites and streamlines my data utilization needs.
OVERVIEW: This project is to help automate the compiling of two separate spreadsheet types into one and adding minor formatting and analysis to the combined spreadsheet. This analysis is done to determine which locations > days > or cashiers are having the most sales adjustments. High sales adjustments like voided transactions, line cancellations, or discounts indicate that a cashier may be making errors or possibly stealing. This report is used by management to investigate said locations, days, or cashiers which are causing the high adjustments.
The macro must be able to perform the following tasks:
- Carry out calculations and formula automation.
- Perform basic data analysis—for instance, determining the mean, median, and mode of a data set.
To specify, the macro will be applied to numerical data. Therefore, a strong command of Excel and an aptitude for working with numbers are vital for this project.
The perfect candidate for this job is an individual with demonstrated expertise in Excel macros, data entry and analysis—someone keen on details and has the knack to work precisely with numerical data.
Please note: a proper understanding and execution of fundamental statistical analysis (mean, median, mode) is critical for this role. Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly will also be advantageous.
