Virtual assistant needed for business and personal work

Hi there,
My wife and I are looking for a virtual assistant to help with simple tasks - business as well as personal.
We are looking for someone available for a couple of hours/week (depending on price) as when needed to perform the following type of tasks for us:
- researching Internet for specific information,
- gathering data and presenting results in Google Docs,
- calling companies to find out information (Europe).
Requirements:
Good English written and verbal. French a bonus.
Overlap with UK time zone required,
Computer literate and Internet savvy,
Good grasp of European culture and values.
Payments:
I am thinking per hour or per task (most tasks should be a hour duration) using either paypal directly or GetAFreelancer system. I am open to suggestions.
Please provide:
- previous references and credentials in relation to the job,
- hourly rates and availability,
- contact details.
Ideally this should be a good evening job for a young graduate or a part time activity for home based person.
