This is my initial description of our module capabilities. Let me know if you need more detail:
We want to create an independent camera with two 8 Megapixel IR lenses for distance calculation, an RGB 12MPixels all in global shutter. There is a second possibility which is to use two 8Mpixel global shutter CMOS that are sensitive in the near infrared so we do not need three sensors but two. The idea is to be able to use the camera on night vision. To do the stereoscopic fusion and initial RGB image processing we will use an integrated NVIDIA Jetson Nano module. This would allow us to apply directly from the camera, calibration parameters, ambient light correction, electronic zoom capabilities, image focusing, aperture control, depth map calculation, 3D fusion of the depth map and the RGB picture into 3D slam rendering and use of simple deep learning models for object recognition and other image processing capabilities. We will create our own firmware for all these features. The card will also have to include a slot for a WIFI intel card so that it can communicate with external compute units. It will also have a USB-C connector so that we can add an LWIR sensor from FLIR. The FLIR sensor will come with its own carrier card.
