French-speaking Video Editor Web Series

Who we are Underknown is a Toronto-based social video company producing highly engaging, data-driven web series devoted to science, history, geography, and culture. We currently run half a dozen web shows on a daily basis, including “How To Survive” and “What If” the #1 Science show on Facebook. Our Underknown stories, hypothetical possibilities, extraordinary creatures, and amazing facts have been watched for a total of more than 3 billion minutes (that’s almost 5,700 years) and amassed over 20 million followers. About The Role We are looking for a qualified video editor to join our team. You’ll be editing our How To Survive and What if French shows, working with a French Team lead to help bring our content to life. The ideal candidate is extremely detail-oriented, strategically-minded, able to analyze opportunities, foresee challenges, and handle multiple projects concurrently. We are looking for an edit who is able to work with Premiere Pro and After Effects that will be able to take the concept and adapt it to our French viewers eye. What you will be doing: - The project consists of VIDEO EDITING existing videos, removing English voice-over and subtitles and replacing them with French voice-over and subtitles. - Note - Adjusting footage is sometimes necessary is ensure that it aligns with our audience demographic. - Audiovisual material (including original Premiere Pro project, media and graphic assets), voice-over and text will be provided for all videos. - The average duration of each video is 4 to 6 minutes in length. - All submitted work, will be reviewed by a French Team Lead. - All videos must be edited must meet the following requirements: 1:1 video, 16:9 video, srt file, and a folder .zip with the project in Premiere. - USD $35 per video edited (youtube/Facebook) and USD $30 per Snapchat video. We have a catalogue of more than 200 videos ready to adapt. Who you are: - You have a strong reel that accurately reflects your skills in editing. - You edit in Premiere Pro, and have intermediate compositing skills in After Effects. - You edit quickly while still paying attention to detail. - Strong knowledge of social media platforms is crucial. - Must be bilingual in English and French.
