I have an excel spreadsheet containing 66 historical pair trades starting on 11/11/11 up to date. Each pair consists of one long position in a stock and one short position in a stock (one buy name and one sell name basically). I have the relevant buy and sell prices of both when I open the positions and the clsosing prices and their relevant dates. The majority of pairs are opened and closed without any alteration however on some I have doubled or halved the positions befor closing. What I need is for someone to chart the return of the portfolio since it started versus a benchmark index. It is important to include dividends and stock splits but I can help with these. I don't mind how you generate the figures but I would guess Excel is the most obvious choice.
