Create a script in excel to compare and match/reconcile credit card transactions with the payment report.
We are a retail outlet where we have several customers making payment with their credit card. There are approximately 200 transactions per day. These transactions are recorded in the Point of Sale (POS) billing/cashiering machine.
The following day we receive payment from the bank for all the credit card transactions along with the details of the credit card. The details of the paid transactions are mentioned in the 'Credit Card Settlement' report.
The credit card settlement report needs to be reconciled & matched with the POS sale report and identify if any transaction is not paid. The matching is done based on amount and last 4 digits of the credit card number.
Both the POS transaction report and Credit Card settlement report is available in excel and we require a vba program to identify which transactions are paid and which are not.
