I need to build a subscription-based website that provides audio versions for a set of technical documents. At the initial stage, 8 to 10 documents will be available to subscribers.
Subscribers have 3 plans:
1. Silver plan: 1-month trial for a nominal fee of $1, after which the fee becomes $10 per month charged to the subscriber automatically if the subscriber does not cancel before day number 30 from enrollment day.
2. Platinum plan: $9 / month, user can cancel subscription anytime.
3. Gold plan: 99 / year.
The subscriber gets access to all downloadable audio content on the website to stream.
The audio files will ideally be 50 to 100 MB in size, in MP3 format, and ~20 min to 1 hour in length. The website will be regularly updated by uploading audio files every month. The website administrator should have a feature to upload and name files to the website for subscribers to utilize.
Website should be simple and neat where the users can stream audio files by selecting the relevant file from a list. The list can be alphabetical, with the option for the user to search for a specific file/word to narrow down search results. Ideally, the website is to comprise 3 pages: (1) A home page with the product offering (i.e audio stream files to listen to) and (2) a simple static About us/Contact us page. Note that as this will be a subscription-based service, users must register and input their data, and sign in whenever they visit the website to be able to access the audio files to stream.
I would need a sales landing page for the user pay by credit card which would be connected to a stripe account, as well as paypal and bitcoin/cryptocurrency payment options.
An automatic alert should go to the subscriber in case the user's card will expire in 30 days, or else the user loses access to the service until they update their payment info. The user is to be automatically asked to update the cc details within 60 days of credit card expiry date.
Additional features:
- A general comments/reviews section from users to suggest and vote which future audio technical paper to add to the website (within the overall theme and purpose of the website). Reviews to be approved before going live.
- Ability for the user to continue streaming from the point the user last left streaming the audio file.
- Ability for the user to write a review for each audio file they’ve streamed.
