JS/HTML5 image upload, manipulation, drag/drop & canvas prototype

We are looking for a talented Javascript developer to build an image drag/drop interface with features similar to the below.

We require similar functionality to this:

Go to [login to view URL], click on ‘collage’, select a handful of images from your hard-drive, these images are added to a sidebar area, a canvas is shown, you are able to drag and drop images in and manipulate them…

Required features:

- Ability to upload multiple images into a sidebar area (we will provide an endpoint for you to upload user images to and an endpoint to fetch user images)

- Ability to select from different canvas layouts (initially, using the same layouts shown on the above site)

- Selecting a canvas layout must update the main canvas area and drop-zones

- A canvas must have multiple drop zones that images can be dropped into

- Ability to drag and drop an image into an existing drop zone on the canvas area from the sidebar

- Ability to drag and drop an image into a NEW drop zone (i.e. on the above site, you can drop an image IN-BETWEEN existing drop-zones, which re-configures the canvas by adding a new zone)

- Ability to drag an image around and set its position within an individual drop zone (i.e. it effectively uses the drop zone as a mask and crops the image visually)

- Ability to change canvas layout with images already in place, which auto-fills the new canvas with the selected images

- Ability to auto-fill an empty canvas with images from the sidebar

- Ability to edit an image within a drop zone (scale, rotate flip horizontal, flip vertical, exposure) - we’re not sure how this data will be stored, but are flexible

We are a small development agency and intend to build the back-end and API using PHP in-house. The front-end must be built using Javascript/HTML5 (although we are open to suggestions - if you recommend using a different language - please let us know in your bid what you recommend). We are flexible when it comes to the API, but that will come later - this initial project requires you to deliver the above prototype first with no access to an API.

The initial phase of this project will require a developer to create a prototype of the above (not using the API yet), demonstrating the required functionality without saving anything. If you are capable of providing the above, please bid fairly for your time - we are open to suggestions and are interested in developing a long term partner. The budget for this project allows for 3-4 iterations of the initial prototype, which will be larger projects than this initial one. We have earmarked around £500-750 for this initial prototype, but are open to suggestions - bid fairly as we will not select the cheapest bid.
