After seeing your synopsis we are Excited to work with it. Here are my recommendations as part technology involvement… We would like MVC arch to manage the app. So that any one can maintain the App with out taking much load on him and we would like layer the instances as mush as possible to manage couplings between each layer and action. We would like design Models (M from MVC) using Standard java design patterns like Service Managers, DAO, VO etc. Controller (C from MVC) will be only one to make the app as single router so that we can restrict the unsecured usage in future without adding much code in the existing app and part View (V from MVC) we have two options one is XML/XSLT and another one is JSP both have its own advantages we deicide one upon the discussion.
