chrome extension control web player

Hi,

I would like to make an chrome extension in which I could control a music web player from a music site (suppose soundcloud or deezer).

The extension needs to update the information (title of song, thumbnail art,etc) every time that people push on buttons (forward or rewind).

Currently, the extension allows to update the name of the song only. the idea is to enable the controls buttons and thumbnail picture.

Extension is done. Developer needs to resolve:

1. I use a playback_function in which I get the player status (play or pause) by using something like this

$button = $('button[id="flat-button playing"]');

aforementioned line works fine if the element is a native button:

THE PROBLEM is that the element on my web player is a div:

2. Another problem is related to image update. I need to extract this value:

from this:

in order to make something like this:

this.album_art = "http://" + $("#display_coverart").attr('img');
