I am looking for a freelancer who can help me create a Packer and Terraform Rancher template for vSphere.
Packer - create a VM template for Ubuntu 22.04 LTS
Terraform - provision a Rancher management high-availability cluster (3 nodes) K3S/RKE2 based on Packer template
Terraform - provision a worker high-availability cluster RKE2 based on Packer template
While template must have DHCPv4 enabled, final nodes willl have static IPs.
IPv6 will be completely disabled.
vSphere vCenter Version: 7.0+ (test will run on 8.0)
Delivered by GitHub repo.
Test performed on my environment required to pass:
1. "packer build" with environment variable file will output a VM Template within vSphere vCenter
2. "terraform apply" with environment and nodes variable files will produce a 3 node cluster running Rancher Manager
2. "terraform apply" with environment and nodes variable files will produce a high-available cluster with control-pane nodes and separate worker nodes.
