Hi,
Godaddy migrated my virtual dedicated server from Fedora 4 to Fedora 7. Now I can't login anymore with WinSCP which I always used for uploading files.
Now I can't login anymore because the system won't allow root-login. I have to login as user and then su root, but this is not possible with WinSCP. Direct login as root in WinSCP won't be accepted by the server.
I changed sshd_config to "permitrootlogin yes" and restarted sshd but it still won't work.
Any ideas how I could fix this? Right now I am unable to upload files to this server.
And: what's the best way to upload files anyway? FTP is not acceptable (security)
Regards,
Dave
