Description:

I am looking for a freelancer who can assist me with the pre-submission and peer-review of my research paper in Control Science and Engineering. The project has the following requirements:

Title: CFAR Detection in a Mixed Weibull Distribution Sea Clutter

What the paper say's - Maritime traffic surveillance requires effective radar detection systems to effectively identify targets in dynamic sea clutter. Sea clutter's statistical characteristics - affected by surface turbulence and floating debris - pose an immense challenge to marine traffic surveillance operations. The current research article proposed using a mixed Weibull distribution to model to address the issue.

What need to be done :-

The introduction is too short and we need to logically develop it through a funnel approach. Currently, the problem statement is neither well defined nor rationale has been properly explained. Warrants rewriting of the introduction part.

b) There should be a proper methodology section, where you need to explain in brief ( 400-500 words) tools used ( if any make and manufacture information), software used ( version and manufacturers information), method of analysis in a very logical coherent manner that must align with the scientific story you want to convey to the scientific community/journal. Currently, it is fragmented and therefore, needs proper structuring.

c) Some core technological aspects are currently missing such as lack of performance in heterogeneous environments and whether it is a realistic issue or not. Any new or alternative parameter estimation can be employed to improvise the CFAR detection, Algorithmic complexity of the proposed method and techno-economic feasibility of the proposed method, comparative analysis with alternative clutter models

d) A proper discussion is also missing that requires every important results to be critically analyzed with evidence based research .

Writing ( 4000-4500 words, evaluation of data analysed for accuracy, sensitivity and specificity) +Editing

Deadline:

- The project must be completed within 3 weeks.

Milestone 1 - sharing the daft - what improvements will be done ( 3-4 days after project confirmation).

Milestone 2- Approval from the client regarding the improvements ( 2 days )

Milestone 3 - Sharing of data ( if analysis were done and added)

Milestone 4 - Writing or improvising the paper ( in track mode)

Milestone 5 - Review and improvisation

Milestone 6 - Completion.

Research Paper Length:

- The research paper is 20-25 max. pages long.

Scope of Work:

- The freelancer should be able to help with writing, editing, pre-submission, and peer-review of the research paper.

Ideal Skills and Experience:

- Strong background in Control Science and Engineering.

- Excellent academic writing skills.

- Experience with research paper editing and peer-review processes.

- Attention to detail and ability to provide constructive feedback.
