I have developed a program in MatLab. I want to make sure that codes work fine before publishing the results. I am not a professional programmer thus scripts use predominantly basic functions. The function I am the most interested to check is @fmincon optimization function, as I never worked with it before and I am not sure if I set it write. It produce good results but I need somebody who used this function before to have a look at the code. The project is in finance, in particular in filling missing observations in panel of data. However, the knowledge of finance is not necessary. I potentially need help to develop a code further. But that will be a second part of the project and we can discuss it further (Kalman filter).

Experience with Matlab, Kalman filtering, Optimization Scored a 8 pt on “State estimation and its applications” course. This course includes Kalman filter, Extended Kalman filter, Unscented Kalman filter Did the course project on estimating the altitude, velocity and ballistic coefficient of a vertically falling body using Unscented Kalman filtering. Did a course in Optimization and in the course project the objective was to minimize the heat load during the reentry of a shuttle. Dynamic programming was used which include fmincon.
