So here is what we want to do:
We are making some iphone cocos2d Game.
Our plan is to make animation in Flash, then export the animation information to some kind of script, then use cocos2d to regenerate the animation.
NOTE: we don't want to use sequence of images to do this in cocos2d, this is the easiest way to do it. the problem of this approach is that it will consume tons of memory if the animation is complicating.
Part 1:
We need to create animations for different character in Flash then export the information to cocos2d.
for each character, there are different parts, like head, body, hand, legs..
we will first use Flash to create the animation.
For example, we may move the head, or turn the legs and so on.
Part 2:
Then we export the animation information to some script. it can be in XML or plist format. Basicly, the script will have information like how each part move:
There should be some kind of tool or software to do this, do research into it.
For example,
For example:
Image = [login to view URL]
Frame 1: location, scale, rotation
Frame 2: location, scale, rotation
Frame 3: location, scale, rotation
Frame 4: location, scale, rotation
Part 3:
Then we use cocos2d to read this script, and regenerate the animation
for example, the logic of the codes may look like this:
second 0: use Frame 1's info to put the head in the right location, scale it, and rotate it
second 1: use Frame 2's info to put the head in the right location, scale it, and rotate it
second 2: use Frame 3's info to put the head in the right location, scale it, and rotate it
second 3: use Frame 4's info to put the head in the right location, scale it, and rotate it
Your job will be of figuring out how to do this, what tools to use to accomplish this and show us a working example of this.
PM me if you need more info.
Cheers!
