Looking to Automate Process to Load Data into Database

Hi, I have experience with data processing, include import and export from/to different formats and purposes. "This is not a big job" - this is not true !!!! When you get duplicates and you lost part of you information, or incoming .CSV for some reason start coming in different format, you will understand that this is "big job". I can tell you more for .CSV importing but this is not your problem - import problems should be resolved by developer who do your project. Thank you, Slavi.

I'm expert in export Microsoft excel files (CSV Files) to a Sql Server table using visual basic. I worked in a project that arrived excel files (csv format) and I had to import them in a Sql Server table with some logic. The files arrive 3 times a year, and there were more than 1000 files. For this senario you need an application that will allow you to chose the excel file and wil loop through cells in the file, and insert new rows with this data in the appropriate table in ur database. I have previously built an automated solution using SQL Server 2005 Integration Services that - 1. imports any csv files located within a directory on a daily basis 2. moves files to a Success or Fail folder depending on outcome of the import 3. once all files have been processed, the successful files are moved to a zip file with a date/time stamp It would be a simple job to modify this to run on a more frequent schedule, import excel files and add email notifications for success/failure on a file-by-file basis or for each execution of the import process. In addition, I am located in the UK so will be available during normal business hours for any communications (email or phone).
